I got a lot of emails about this one today. A lot of people are asking, "Is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre a real story?"

The answer is no. The film was made up, but it was inspired by a real life sicko from Wisconsin, Ed Gein. He didn't wear skin for masks, or chase pretty girls around with chainsaws, but he did dig up bodies from the local cemetery and keep them in his house.

I was surprised though by how many kids emailed to ask me about this movie. What are you guys watching that for? I've seen it and I think I'll have nightmares for a week. Yow! shocked

You're crazy! I thought the movie was great! I saw the older one, and yeah it was pretty scary, but it didnt have the depth that the new one had. The new one had more of a back story in it.

Oh you've got to be kidding me? The new movie better that the old one? That's a laugh! The old one is THE original slasher movie and the new is just a another failed copy.
